Portage County Titles
Portage County vehicles title through the Portage County Clerk of Courts Title Office in Ravenna rather than Summit’s office in Akron. The rule is identical, since it is state law: Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4505 requires a notarized title assignment, and a duplicate title runs about $15. If a car is titled in Summit County but sits in Portage, or the reverse, that is fine; you use the office in the county where the title is being processed, and we will tell you which one applies on the call.
